Welcome to Iris
The Iris application by OncoHealth is a digital platform that provides personalized, oncology specific support to patients at any stage of the cancer diagnosis. The goal of Iris is to help our patients navigate the physical and emotional challenges caused by cancer and cancer related treatment. Your oncologist will take the lead in your cancer treatment. We are here to help support you through those in between moments.
The Iris member service is provided to you at no cost through your participating health care plan. You can access us anytime, anywhere with the click of a button. Below are three simple steps on how to best utilize all that Iris has to offer!
Meet Your Care Team
Nursing
At Iris, our nurses are trained oncology experts who can offer oncology-specific telehealth support 24/7 via our Iris application. Our nurses are specialized in assisting oncology patients with issues such as symptom management, nutritional questions, current treatment plan questions and more. Our nurses will partner with you to identify your specific needs and, in collaboration with advanced providers, make evidence-based clinical recommendations to support your cancer diagnosis. Our nurses will work along with your oncologist and provide them with pertinent information regarding issues reported and recommendations from the Iris team.
Mental Health Therapists
At Iris, we understand that a cancer diagnosis can be difficult to navigate. Our social workers are specially trained in supporting patients through their cancer journey. With Iris, you can schedule one on one sessions with licensed oncology counselors, who can provide coping strategies and continued support. We will help you navigate the complexities of managing a cancer diagnosis and juggling your everyday life.
Peer Mentors
At Iris, we provide you with the ability to connect with individuals who have first-hand experience with cancer through our peer mentor program. All peer mentors undergo specialized training to ensure quality care. Our mentors serve to provide you with not only emotional support, but tips/hacks they may have learned throughout their journey.
Registered Dietician
At Iris, our dietitian is here to help you sort out questions and challenges around eating. Changes in how and what you eat are common during and after cancer treatment and our dietitian can guide you to find choices and recipes that meet your unique needs and food preferences. She can help manage eating-related side effects like changes to your appetite and weight, and help you cope when food tastes “off,” or if you’re having trouble with swallowing and/or digestion. With a background in integrative cancer care, our dietitian’s expertise includes answering complex questions on topics like sugar and soy, and teaching people about mindful eating and self-compassion as it relates to cancer survivorship.
Browse our Content Library
Iris also offers self-guided educational content that you can browse at your leisure. Resources include managing common side effects, sexual health issues, and nutrition. Additional articles will be added regularly so be sure to check back from time to time.
